Seasons Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ:
Glory to God in the Highest! This has been an unprecedented year. We might still be in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic however, we know that the God we serve is Mighty and Powerful to pull us through. We thank you God that during this Christmas season we experience the glory and majesty of God. As the year 2021 quickly departs, we walk into 2022 – “The Year of Faith”. We walk into this new year with faith like never before. We know that God is going to do something BIG right before our eyes. Our faith this go round will set us up for God’s greatest gift. Hebrews 11:1 declares, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” God will not drive us to do things but He will inquire of our spirits what things we need to give up to slow down our life. God will however lead us by putting in our heart what we are supposed to do. When we follow the Holy Spirit, we may have to say no to some activities that we are saying yes to right now.
“For there shall the seed produce peace and prosperity the vine shall yield her fruit and the ground shall give its increase and the heavens shall give their dew and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit and possess all these things”
Zechariah 8:12
As we move into change, let this year be the year when we as the children of God start and finish kingdom building projects. Not only for self, but also for those who are still wandering in the wilderness. Start something new in their life. Help bring about a change – help bring about deliverance. Sow the seed of healing! Sow the seed of restoration! Sow the seed of deliverance! Sow the seed of hope! A sincere (genuine, honest, truthful, and heartfelt) compliment can help boost the confidence in someone who is starving for encouragement. Let forgiveness flow, as this will be the seed for a miracle breakthrough in that very situation trying to put an obstacle in your path.
Especially during this Christmas season, pray for the needs of someone else. Make a special offering to start something positive in the name of the Lord. God will not ask us to sow a seed into the life of someone else and not give us the grace (elegance, style or poise) to fulfill it. Let us start today! Let us make the ultimate decision to have the mind of Christ as it says in Philippians 2:5. In addition, love everyone we meet today and everyday. Pass on the message of salvation to the next person you meet and watch as others catch on to it and pass it along again. Jesus came and shared salvation and abundant life so freely with all humanity. What will you share with others this Christmas?
